Facebook newly launched video chat service feature is in collaboration with Skype. It allows more than 750 million users to video chat with their friends, family all around the world. This is 100% free of cost for all the users and also allows group video chat or video conferencing. The quality of the video chat is pretty impressive.
The Video calling works with Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox
and Safari. Video calling is not supported in Linux presently. You have to use one of these browsers in you Windows.

service. Just follow the steps given below,
Before you continue, go to http://www.facebook.com/videocalling/ and enable
video calling (currently not available to all).
1. The first step to start a video chat with someone is simply choosing their name from the chat sidebar and opening a messaging session. To call, click the video icon at the top of your chat window.
2. If this is your first time using Facebook video chat then click the “Set Up” button and follow the instructions to setup video calling on your browser. You will be prompted to download tiny plug-in file and install the software needed to make the service play your webcam and microphone satisfactorily.
3. Once the installation is complete your video chat session should begin automatically. If it doesn’t, then try again by clicking the video icon at the
top of the chat window.
The window pop up will display only if your chat partner agrees to the video chat with you, then both your partner and yourself will be able to see each other. By selecting your audio device at the bottom of the video window you can easily have a voice chat too. To end video chats simply close the video window by clicking the X in the corner of the pop up box.
